Eating a plant based diet can have a number of positive benefits for athletes of any level, such as quick recovery time and increased energy. Lewis Hamilton is one of the top Formula 1 drivers in the world. He has been pescatarian for the past few years but recently decided to fully adopt a plant based diet and it has not slowed him down one bit! 2. Serena and Venus Williams
Serena and Venus Williams are two of the top tennis players in the world. They also both follow a raw vegan diet when in season. Both have credited their diets for giving them a competitive advantage against their opponents. 3. Kyrie Irving
One of the top point guards in the NBA, Kyrie Irving decided to switch to a plant based diet for this season. Since making the switch, he says that “his energy is up and his body feels amazing.” Although his diet might not be 100% vegan, he seems to be pleased with the results a plant based diet has provided him. 4. Demaryius Thomas

Tia Blanco is a professional surfer who has already won a number of competitions and awards despite only being 20 years old.
