Proteinaholic by Dr. Garth Davis
When someone finds out you eat a plant based diet the first question you probably get is “where do you get your protein?” Well, it turns out that protein they are so worried about might be the problem. The book is broken into four parts and goes into great detail about how the American diet is fixated on protein and how this fixation is part of the reason why the standard America diet is so poor. Dr. Davis gives his own story on his transition to a plant based diet, followed by the rise of the emphasis on protein in America and the dangers of eating a high protein diet. He finishes the book with diet recommendations and meal plans.
